On the day of the polls, security forces shot and killed Umesh Thapa, a CPN-UML activist, who was returning from a peaceful protest against the polls. He will not be forgotten.

I am guessing that many people have gathered in the Aaryaghat where his last rites is to be performed today. His body was flown to Baneshwor, where he lived. And all leaders who aren’t detained are to attend the funeral. Earlier, several clashes between students and the police have happened in colleges.
