Do-It-Yourself Deity

What kind of God is that!?

The metaphysical engineers are happy to report that, to the best of their knowledge, the God you conceive is internally consistent and could exist in our universe. But they are less sure that what you have described deserves the name of God. She is not, for example, all-powerful. A God which knows everything or is totally benign may be a wonderful ideal, but is she really a God unless she has ultimate power?

We suspect that your God is not the traditional God of the Christian, Jewish or Muslim faiths.

one argument i learnt once in a dumb class:

God cannot be omni-potent (all powerful). If he were, he would be able to build a rock that nobody could lift. Which means that He would not be able to lift the rock. So if he can't lift the rock, he ain't all powerful.

Or, God does not exist because existence is predicated by being and being cannot be attributed to God. Hence, all "God 'is'..." phrases are problematic. So although we can't say "God is beyond being," we can say "God, other than being." This is the only God that is compatible with existentialism. Any existing God necessarily imposes determinism.
(This contribution provided by Kierkegaardian post-modern gibberish.)
One more thing, however. The Dionysiac is also a human creation. Whereas the Apollonion is the myth or the master, the Dionysian is the anti-myth or the slave (the latter terms are obviously Nietzschean). They are all just part of a Hegelian dialectical movement that leads to the new order/new Apollonian or in Nietzsche, the overman. It's all human, all too human.
