Did anyone listen to Girija’s speech yesterday? I happened to listen to excerpts of it later. Why does he keep insisting that HE was and is the major force of change?
“… which is why I requested them (the Maoists) to come to talks.”
“… I have made a ‘dridh-sankalpa’ of solving all of Nepal’s problems.”
“… I (as opposed to my government) call upon all groups in Terai to come to talks.”
“… Fights within the house should be settled inside the house (whose house?).”
“… (and the coup de grace) This may be my last speech due to health reasons (tch. tch.)”
With a 84 year old, four time PM veteran, at the helm of radical political change, one wonders what radical changes the nation will see.
