"Stating that a bird in one's hand is better than two in the bush, Minister Mahat said the Dalit community should not lose their achieved rights in the name of getting additional rights." So this genius is asking the Dalits to shut up and be happy with what they've got. Why don't they listen to Mahat? Why ask for more rights when you've already got some. What a warning.

was that a warning or suggestion? is he a dalit?
however, i do agree that communities should not (have to) lose the rights they've gained - if there are any.
the warning seems to be implicit in the suggestion. A dalit finance minister? are you kidding?
why was he in the meeting/summit in the first place? if he is not a dalit was what i was trying to get at...
