Finally....

“Koirala Retires”, says eKantipur, as if he had fulfilled his promise of retiring from active politics after the CA elections. They do not mention much else. It’s been an excruciatingly painful two months.

So, MKN as President? I still think it is sad that someone who was defeated in two constituencies should be selected as the president.

And our Madhesi parties give an indication of the days to come – they are already obstructing parliament.

in all honesty, had gpk resigned the day after the elections, would the last two months have been any less excruciatingly painful?

that's a nice thought, politics witout girija.

girija has resigned but he's staying on for how long what...
with suffiecient weirdness, should he be the president, he'll receive and approve his own resignation. girija knows this. you can imagine how important girija is. he thinks the country's going to dogs if he's no longer the chief. Communist dogs to be more precise.
