Women in War

I feel like pontificating:

Have been thinking about this picture for a while. Would like to know what they may think of the war, its goals, failures and achievements. One obvious question would be - was it worth it? Is it possible to answer that without doing a cost/benefit? 

The Maoists used to bring up the 'situation of the women' whenever they got the chance. They still do. But even more so during the war.  Mostly in two contexts, as far as I can recall. One was to denounce 'bahunbad' by highlighting how 'brahiminism' was subjugating women. The other was rape and torture by the army and the police. 

Are they doing anything about it now? 

Also, in terms of numbers, does anyone know the percentage of women in PLA camps?
