american economics / third world lives

apparently, other governments don't even have the right to ban drinks that they deem harmful to their citizen's lives... (and i don't mean this in the moral sense, as in banning foreign movies, but scientifically proven high levels of pesticides that is obviously harmful).

from the bbc:

"A US official has warned India that bans imposed on soft drinks like Coca Cola and Pepsi could blight its hopes of attracting American investment.

Frank Lavin, under secretary for international trade, said the row was a setback for the Indian economy. "

reminds me of the bhopal gas leak incident...
